Students:
GMDVP is frequently contacted by students conducting research. While GMDVP supports and encourages research to increase awareness, the organization is unable to respond individually to the overwhelming number of inquiries it receives.
This website is a rich resource and should provide a foundation of information (including suggested reading lists) to meet most students’ needs. If you need additional information after thoroughly reviewing the website, please feel free to contact the GMDVP’s Education Department, however, please be patient with our ability to respond in a timely manner.
Educators:
GMDVP encourages educators to incorporate gay, bisexual and transgender (GBT) domestic violence into their lesson plans on domestic violence. Hopefully the information provided in this website will be sufficient to support you in doing so. However, please feel free to contact our Education Department for suggestions as to how you may best incorporate the issue.
For educators in New England, GMDVP may be able to come to your class and provide a presentation to your students. Most presentations include a GBT survivor sharing their own personal experience with abuse.
For more information on GMDVP’s presentations, go to the ‘Education & Training’ pages of the website.
